We have separate divisions that focus on different IT services that include Managed Infrastructure services, Application Development and Consulting Services to name a few. Our Head Office is in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, and has branch offices in United States, United Kingdom and India.
With the recent rapid growth in our Consulting Division, we are continuously looking for talented individuals in the Information Technology area. Currently we are looking for individuals with the skill set said below to work at our client site located within the Ontario area.

Looking For : Supra ITS’ Systems Engineers are the cornerstone of our successful service delivery process and represent the highest level of technical proficiency within our Operations team. The System Engineer acts as a technical consultant who is responsible for effectively designing, provisioning, installing, configuring, operating, and maintaining hardware, software and related IT infrastructure for Supra ITS, for Supra’s customers and for our hosted cloud platform. This individual participates in technical research, architecture, design and development of solutions to enable continuing innovation within Supra’s Infrastructure Services Team. A successful candidate ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values and standards, and meet established Service Level Objectives with our customers.

This individual will assist the Infrastructure Services Team in the delivery and fulfillment of internal or customer projects. This individual will also act as the highest escalation level for platform related issues from our Service Desk Analysts. Additionally, a successful candidate will assist more junior team members by providing training and mentorship, and will work with the sales team in helping craft innovative and supportable solutions to prospective customers.

The candidate will utilize a consultative approach in identifying the customers’ needs and using that information design a solution that will meet their needs. The candidate will work proactively to identify issues before they become problems and introduce solutions to those issues. The candidate enjoys interfacing directly with customers and operates with a customer-first attitude. The candidate also thrives in a dynamic, ever changing environment where multiple technologies are in use every day, and where problem solving “on-the-fly” is a motivating element.

Job Description :

Roles and Responsibilities :
• Act as Level 3 technical support for reported issues by using best of breed investigation and troubleshooting techniques.
• Participate in trouble shooting activities individually, as a part of a team or with Vendor support like Microsoft, VMware etc.
• Work onsite, on a rotational basis, at our customer locations to troubleshoot technical issues, consult with customers on adopting best practice technologies and auditing the Level 2 team’s onsite activities.
• Participate in our On-call and after-hours support queue.
• Design, build and maintain technical solutions based on various technology stacks, suitable to the customer’s needs.
• Perform daily system monitoring verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
• Manage instances of various Microsoft technologies including Exchange, SQL Server, Hyper-V, Sharepoint Servers, SCOM/SCCM, etc.
• Maintain corporate and customer Active Directory environments including Account Management, GPO and OU administration, DNS and DHCP administration, architectural design and Fault tolerant configuration
• Assess patches, security alerts and vulnerabilities and assist our patching teams on which patches to apply and assessing the relative risks of each announced vulnerability.
• Build, maintain and assess cloud based solutions that are built using VMware and Hyper-v technologies
• Using metrics and monitoring solutions proactively maintain managed environments to ensure they function within Service Level Agreements.
• Have a strong familiarity with the Microsoft suite of Enterprise management tools including SCOM, SCCM, SCVMM and DPM

Qualification :
The ideal Candidate will possess the following qualifications:
• A candidate should have a customer focused, service oriented outlook when solving all technical issues.
• Someone who has knowledge of and experience with performing consultative assessments
• Bachelor (4-year) degree, with a technical major, such as engineering or computer science or comparable work experience.
• Systems Administration/System Engineer certification from Microsoft, MCSE or MCITP
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Possess excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment

In addition to the above, preferences will be made to the candidate that possesses some or all of the following “nice to have” qualifications in addition to those listed above:
• Experience with VMware products, VEEAM
• Experience working with Enterprise Storage solutions
• Knowledge and Experience on HP server, Blade , storage environments
• Knowledge of ISO 17799, SAS-70 Type II, ITIL, CMMI
